radonmonth.wordpress.com - Radon is a naturally occurring, odorless, colorless gas with the breakdown of uranium in soil, rock produced, and water. Because radon is a gas, there may be buildings through holes or cracks in the foundation. Radon gas decays into radioactive solids, called radon progeny. The radon decay products attach to dust particles in the air and be inhaled. The inhalation of radon decay, has been associated with lung cancer. Environmental Protection Agencylimit for radon is 4.0 pci where the World Health Organization only allows 2.7 pci/l before recommending action.
