Which type of home building foundation should I use to build my home? If you're going to build on flat ground that doesn't have problems with the soil, I would suggest that you use a solid concrete building foundation, but that's just a suggestion. If I was building a home and enjoyed remodeling it, I would use a raise building foundation, so that I could move the plumbing, electrical and some of the structural framing, with very little effort. There are problems and advantages with both types of building foundations.
