Foundation Degree in Environmental Education: Expedition to Ghana in February 2011!

In Febuary 2011, nine students and staff from Bicton College travelled 3000 miles to Ghana West Africa! Whilst there, they successfully built two compostable toilets for the community of Cape Three Points. This will not only improve sanitation and hygiene within the community, but provide them with free compost to replace the top soil when it is washed away in the rainy season. This will lead to increased crop yield and more food for the village. The group also took video footage whilst there in order to make this film; which records some of their experiences whilst therte and will hopefully raise the profile of Trinity Yard School!
